Usage:
1. Activate the parking brake.
2. Connect the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.

At operating temperature, the hydraulic oil tank is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns. To prevent possible personal injury, release the pressure in the hydraulic system before and hydraulic lines or components are disconnected or removed. |

3. Release the pressure in the hydraulic system as follows:
a. Shut off the engine.
b. Move the control levers through their full travel strokes. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the pilot system.
c. Slowly loosen the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank to release the pressure.
d. Tighten the air breather cap on the hydraulic oil tank.
e. The pressure in the hydraulic system has now been released. Lines and components can now be removed.
NOTE: Put identification on all tubes, lines, wires and hoses for installation purposes. Cap all lines to prevent loss of hydraulic oil.

Be sure the engine has been shutoff for a minimum of five minutes to be sure that the accumulator oil pressure is zero. The accumulator is filled with dry nitrogen. Do not loosen or remove the valve or cap from the top of the accumulator. A Bleed screw at the bottom of the accumulator can be used to release any pressure that is left in the system. Failure to follow the procedures can result in personal injury. |

4. Disconnect wiring plug (1).
5. Disconnect four hydraulic tube assemblies (2).
6. Remove three bolts and washers (3) and remove accumulator valve and solenoid (4).
NOTE: To remove solenoid from valve, remove nut and spacer at bottom of solenoid (not shown) and remove.
NOTE: Install in the reverse order.

If the accumulator needs to be charged, dry nitrogen is the only gas approved for use in the accumulators. The charging of oxygen gas in these components by accident will cause an explosion. This danger can be avoided by the use of nitrogen cylinders with standard CGA (Compressed Gas Association Inc.) No. 580 connections. Do not go by color codes or other methods of identification to tell the difference between nitrogen and oxygen cylinders. In any application, never use an adaptor to connect your nitrogen charging group to a valve outlet used on both nitrogen, oxygen or other gas cylinders. Be sure you use dry nitrogen. |

7. Fill the hydraulic system to the correct level. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.
8. Separate the steering frame lock link. See "Separate & Connect Steering Frame Lock Link" in this module.
