Description of Change: The new crankshaft seal groups give improved sealing and longer life than the former lip-type seals. The new seal groups have grooves machined into the seal face that move oil back into the crankcase as the crankshaft turns. Therefore, crankshaft rotation is very important to seal function.
NOTE: These seal groups are to be used on STANDARD ROTATION engines only.
Adaptable To: The front 7C7473 Seal Group is a direct replacement for 2P3846 Seal and 2P3847 Sleeve. The rear 7C7474 Seal Group is a direct replacement for 8S5138 Sleeve and 8S5141 Seal.
