Usage:
3500 Series Engines
Description of Change: An improved filter housing assembly is used in the 8N7726 Fuel Filter Housing Group (standard - right hand), the 8N6355 Fuel Filter Housing Group (attachment - left hand), and in the 2W6325 Fuel Filter Housing Group (attachment - duplex) on 3500 Series Engines. The housing, which is made from a steel tube, has a thicker wall section for increased strength. It fits inside a shorter second tube which is welded to the housing for the duplex filter mounting. See the illustration. The second tube provides a stiffer mounting surface for the duplex filter which helps reduce vibration in this area. The thicker wall section of the filter housing allows for a better weld joint between the housing and the duplex filter mounting brackets.

The new filter housing also has a fuel shut-off valve built into the base of the priming pump. The valve prevents the flow of fuel out of the filter housing when the engine is not running.
Adaptable As: The changes made to the 8N6355, 8N7726, and 2W6325 Fuel Filter Groups are in effect with 3500 Series Engines as shown in the following chart.
The new parts, when used together, are direct replacements for the former parts as shown in the following chart.
