Photovoltaic Inverters Caterpillar

Commissioning Startup

Usage:

PVT110 TF2
Ensure that the following requirements are met before commissioning the inverter:

  • The inverter is correctly mounted with proper clearances

  • The circuit breaker is correctly rated and mounted

  • All cables are correctly connected

  • Unused DC inputs are sealed using proper DC connectors and sealing plugs

  • Unused enclosure openings are sealed tightly

  1. Ensure that AC and DC power are both present to the inverter before beginning commissioning.

  2. Ensure that the lights above the Ethernet port are lit and blinking before attempting to communicate with the inverter.

  3. Go to the following website: "www.sma.de/en/products/monitoring-control".

  4. Download the "Sunny Explorer" software. This software is used by the operator to view the photovoltaic plant.

  5. Download the "SMA Connect Assist" software. This software is used for inverter network configuration.

Note: Inverters integrated into systems with a Master Microgrid Controller (MMC) must be configured with static IP addresses.
