Removal Procedure

Note: All high-pressure fuel line connections to be closed with protective caps from Tooling (B)

1. Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position and turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.

1. Disconnect harness assembly (1).

2. Use Tooling A to remove fuel filters (2).

3. Disconnect hose assembly (3) and hose assembly (4).

4. Remove bolts (5) and fuel filter base (6).
   Show/hide table

5. Remove fuel pressure sensor (7), fuel temperature sensor (8), fuel pressure sensor (9), elbow (10), and the O-ring seals.

6. Remove plug (11), plug (12), plug (13), and hollow studs (14).

Installation Procedure

1. Install fuel filter base (6) in the reverse order of removal.

   1. Tighten fuel pressure sensor (9) and fuel pressure sensor (7) to a torque of 10 ± 2 N·m (89 ± 18 lb in).

   2. Tighten fuel temperature sensor to a torque of 20 ± 3 N·m (177 ± 27 lb in).

   3. Apply Tooling (C) to the top 7.60 ± 0.80 mm (0.299 ± 0.031 inch) on the threads of hollow studs (14).

   4. Tighten hollow studs (14) to a torque of 70 ± 15 N·m (52 ± 11 lb ft).

   5. Lubricate the seals of fuel filters (2) with the fluid that is being sealed.

   6. Use Tooling (A) to tighten fuel filters (2). Tighten fuel filters (2) to a complete turn after seal contacts with the base.
