A New Engine Wiring Harness Is Available for Certain Cat 3512C Engines {1000, 1408}

ReferenceSpecial Instruction, REHS9688, "Installation of the 468-4172 Wiring Harness Assembly On Certain 3512C Engines"
Description of Change: A new engine wiring harness is now used. The new harness includes abrasive resistant braiding which reduces stress on the internal wires. Two piece clamps and grommets have replaced ladder clips and grommets resulting in increased robustness of the assembly.
Adaptable To: The new 468-4172 Engine Wiring Gp replaces the existing 448-5383 Engine Wiring Gp and the previous 290-2633 Engine Wiring Gp .
This change is effective with and adaptable to the serial numbers listed in Table 1.
