Radiator Vent Lines Leaking on Certain 3516 Power Modules{1353, 1380}

Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

The muffler is positioned lower on certain supplied containers of XQ2000 Power Modules. As a result, the spill containment wall was repositioned causing the edges of the vent hose clearance hole to come into contact with hose. This contact eventually leads to failure.

Solution

Use the following procedure to create additional clearance for the radiator vent hose:

  1. Locate the radiator vent hose.

    Area to inspect for damage

  1. Inspect the existing hose for damage due to contact with the divider wall. Replace the hose if required with the following parts: 153 cm (60.25 inch) of 122-6869 Hose and two 124-1956 Coupling As .

  1. Modify the size of the hole cut in the divider wall to allow for adequate clearance.

  1. Install edge guard around the perimeter of the modified cutout as shown in Illustration 4
