Usage:
3406C (8PN) Truck Engine
Description of Change: A new O-ring seal and new gaskets are made with materials that are capable of resisting higher temperatures. As a result, the improved O-ring seal and gaskets can provide greater resistance to oil and fuel leaks in the pump and governor.
Adaptable To: Chart 1 lists the new and former O-ring seal and gaskets that are contained in the governor and fuel injector pump group on the above 3406C Truck Engine with the New Scroll Fuel System (NSFS).
The new O-ring seal and new gaskets are adaptable to first production of all 3406B and 3406C Truck Engines except for the 3406C Truck Engine with the electronic governor. The new O-ring seal and new gaskets become effective with the 8PN12072-Up engine serial number.
