New Fuel System Components For 3176 Truck Engines

Usage:

Description of Change: There are several changes that have taken place in the fuel injection pump groups. A new bolt and spacer are used to secure the fuel injectors. Additional bolt stretch is provided to retain the injector more securely. Also, a new O-ring seal is used in the fuel injector groups. The new teflon coated O-ring seal reduces the risk of the O-ring being cut during installation. The fuel injector has several internal geometry changes and the solenoid coil is encased in a protective envelope.

Adaptable To: new 8T0100 Bolt (1) and 4P1711 Spacer (2) replaces the former 6V5219 Bolt. The new 9X3979 O-ring Seal (3) replaces the former 8T5452 O-ring Seal. See the illustration. See the chart for the part numbers of the affected fuel injector groups.

Location of new bolt (1), spacer (2), and ring (3).
