排气压力过大可能会导致排气温度过高。 排气温度过高可能损坏催化转化器的基体涂层。 检查排气压力以便确认排气系统设计正确。
以下因素可能会导致催化剂堵塞:
- 初始发动机设置时碎屑落入催化剂
- 积碳结构在基体上形成沉积物
- 使用不正确的发动机机油造成的粉末状灰色 / 白色烟灰
- 发动机缺火和 / 或回火导致碎屑落入催化剂
排气压力是在发动机在额定转速和满载条件下运行时测量的。 使用水柱压力计或者机械压力表测量排气压力。
总排气压力从转化器进口壳体的测试端口处测量。 总排气压力是发动机排气歧管和转化器之间的压力。
容许的总排气压力为 6.75 kPa (0.98 psi)。
检查出口处的排气压力以便计算转化器上的压差。 该压差提供有关催化剂堵塞的信息。 催化转化器后面的压力从转化器出口壳体的测试端口处测量。
催化转化器的最大压差为 2.02 kPa (0.29 psi)。
