Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life. |
- Install O-ring seal (9) on oil cooler bonnet (10). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal.
- Install integral seal (12) on oil cooler bonnet (10). Position oil cooler bonnet (10) on the water pump and install bolts (11).
- Install O-ring seals (7) on the engine oil filter base.
- Slide core assembly (6) toward the front of the engine. Rotate the core assembly into position. Install bolts (8).

Illustration 2 g02436063 - Install O-ring seal (5) on bonnet (4). Apply Tooling (A) to the O-ring seal. Place integral seal (2) and bonnet (4) in position. Install bolts (3).
- Connect hose assembly (1) to bonnet (4).
- Fill the cooling system with coolant to the correct level. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Refill Capacities" for more information.
