A control panel kit is available for pumps that are used on the TH31/TH35 transmissions with the following engines: C9 - C15 Tier III ACERT.
A control panel kit is available for pumps that are used on CX31/CX35 transmissions with the following engines: C9 - C18 Tier III ACERT and C27 Tier II ACERT.
The panel kit contains two panels as well as "J1939" harnesses in order to connect the two panels to the engine and the transmission. There are two versions of this kit. One version is for 12-volt applications, and the other kit is for 24-volt applications. The panel kits that are for both 12-volt and 24-volt applications have the exact same function and the exact same operating procedure.

Wiring Diagram
Note: Power for the panel group must come directly from the battery.
Note: Do NOT connect the positive "+" wire of the panel group to the starter terminal. Connecting the positive "+" wire to the starter terminal may cause the panel group to malfunction. Connecting the positive "+" wire to the starter terminal could cause damage the components inside the panel. Connect the positive "+" wire directly to the battery.
Note: Do NOT connect the negative "-" wire on the panel group to the starter, the chassis, or the engine ground. Connecting the panel ground to the starter, chassis, or engine ground may cause the panel group to malfunction. The negative "-" wire on the panel group must be connected to the battery through the battery disconnect switch.

Components
Engine Instrument Panel
Illustration 2 | g01756973 |
The panel kit is packaged with all necessary parts for operation on a pumping unit. Engine Panel Group (12−volt) and Engine Panel Group (24−volt) are connected to the engine ECM and connected to the transmission ECM through the "J1939" harnesses. The displays the engine panel will display following engine information: engine speed, oil pressure and coolant temperature. This panel also has an engine warning light and a transmission warning light as well as an engine ignition switch. This panel should NOT be mounted directly to the engine due to vibration. This panel should be mounted to the chassis or the skid with a frame or a bracket.
Work Platform instrument Panel
Illustration 3 | g01756974 |
Work Platform Group (12−volt) and Work Platform Group (24−volt) are connected to the engine panel through a "J1939" harness. This panel contains the transmission shift pad and the messenger display module. The following components are also contained on this panel: electronic throttle control for the engine, emergency shutdown switch, quick to neutral switch, engine warning light, transmission warning light and transmission lockup indicator.
Messenger Display Module
Illustration 4 | g01757055 |
The messenger display module displays the following information:
- Diagnostic Data
- Configuration of language and units
- Engine Parameters
- Engine Speed
- Boost Pressure
- Gear Position
Machine diagnostic codes may be displayed for the operator. The messenger display will automatically display potentially serious problems. When one of these codes is detected, a warning will appear on the screen.
Refer to Application and Installation Guide, REHS2888 for detailed information on the messenger display.
Quick to Neutral Switch
When the switch is activated, the transmission quickly downshifts to the NEUTRAL position. When the quick to neutral switch is deactivated, the transmission will remain in the NEUTRAL position until the transmission shift control is placed in the NEUTRAL position. Once the shift controller has been placed in the NEUTRAL position, the transmission can be shifted to the desired gear.
Transmission Shift Pad
Illustration 5 | g01756894 |
The transmission shift pad is used to control the operation of the transmission. These transmissions, even in pump mode can be configured to "autoshift". The transmission will shift according to the operator input by using the up arrow and the down arrow.
Electronic Throttle
The electronic throttle control is located on the work platform control panel. This location allows the operator to control the engine speed without leaving the work platform control panel.
Shutdown Switch
When the shutdown switch is pressed, the engine quickly shuts down. The switch is located on the work platform control panel for easy access by the machine operator in any situation. When the shutdown switch is engaged, the shutdown relay is de-energized. De-energizing the shutdown relay stops the supply of battery power to the engine ECM.
