Procedure to Install Oil Pan{1302}

Required Parts

Use the 1U-7505 Hydraulic Jack .

Procedure

  1. Use 1U-7505 Hydraulic Jack to support engine oil pan (6). The weight of the engine oil pan (6) is approximately 22 kg (49 lb).

  1. Position the gasket and engine oil pan (6) on the engine. Install the bolts (5) .

  1. Install the bolts (7). Uniformly raise the oil pan into the correct position against the block and torque the bolts (7) to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  1. Apply final torque 47 N·m (35 lb ft) to the bolts (7) .

  1. Install the tube assembly (1) .

  1. Install the new O-ring seal on elbow (4) .

  1. Position the elbow (4). Install the bolt (2) and the washer (3) .

    Note: If the oil pan drain plug was removed, then install the oil drain plug. Tighten the oil drain plug to a torque of 70 ± 10 N·m (52 ± 7 lb ft).
