Introduction

The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.

Problem

Field service reports indicate that the cab mount assembly may vibrate causing a knocking noise during machine operation.

Note: Engineering reports indicate that there is no issue with ROPS certification, the mount simply vibrates causing a knocking noise.

Solution

Caterpillar is aware of the problem, but an interim repair has not yet been defined.

If you have experienced this problem, refer to the following information.

• Submit a Dealer Solution Network (DSN) ticket quoting CPI number 396130

• Request that the Tier 1 representative, transfer your ticket to an available Tier 2 representative for Caterpillar Underground Mining - Base Machine

• The Tier 2 representative will request the machine serial number and machine operating hours.
