Electrical Lockout Service Center

The electrical lockout service center is located on the left side of the machine on the rear bumper.
Stairway Access Light Switch (1)
- Push the switch upward in order to turn on the stairway access lights. Push the switch downward in order to turn off the stairway access lights. |
Engine Shutdown Switch - Press the switch upward in order to stop a running engine. Press the switch downward in order to allow the engine to be started. |
Transmission Lockout Switch (3)
Transmission Lockout Switch - Turn the switch counterclockwise in order to lock out the transmission. Turn the switch clockwise in order to unlock the transmission. |
Secure the lockout switch in the OFF position by installing a padlock through the holes on the switch lever and the locking plate.
Engine Lockout Switch - Turn the switch counterclockwise in order to prevent the engine from being cranked. Turn the switch clockwise in order to allow the engine to be started. |

The service center is located on the right side of the machine near the articulation joint. The service center provides ground level access for many maintenance procedures and diagnostic procedures.

(5) Indicator Keypad

There are three indicators next to each button located on the indicator keypad. The fluid levels are "FULL" when all of the indicator lights are illuminated. The fluid levels are "OK", when only two of the indicator lights are illuminated.
When the fluid level is "LOW", one indicator light will flash next to the appropriate button. Press the button and the Messenger (6) will display the fluid name and the amount of fluid to add to the system.
Note: When all of the indicators next to a button are flashing, there may be an error, or a problem with the fluid level sensing components. See your Cat dealer for additional information.

Note: There are only two indicators next to the window washer solvent button. The fluid level is "OK" when both of the indicator lights are illuminated. When the fluid level is "LOW", one indicator light will flash.
This screen displays information that is provided by Messenger.

Electronic Technician (ET) Port (7)
This service port allows service personnel to connect a laptop computer.

Press the top of the switch in order to turn on the service center floodlight (11). Press the bottom of the switch in order to turn off the floodlight.
The machines ignition key can be used to turn the machines electrical system ON.
The power receptacle can be used for powering automotive electrical equipment or accessories.
Service Center Floodlight (11)
The floodlight provides light for the service center. The floodlight is activated by floodlight switch (8). Press the top of the switch in order to turn on the floodlight. Press the bottom of the switch in order to turn off the floodlight.
The laptop computer table can be unfolded in order to be used as a platform for a laptop computer.
Your machine is equipped with fast fill ports that are located within the machines service center. You may drain fluids through these ports or you may add fluids through these ports.

Remove dust cover and clean the fast fill fuel adapter. Fill the fuel tank through the fast fill fuel adapter and install the dust cover
