Turbocharger - Remove and Install
Removal Procedure
Start By:
- Remove the right side engine guard.

Note: Ensure that all main surfaces are clean and free of debris.
Note: Refer to Special Instruction, REHS1728, "Application Guideline for the Bellows" for additional information on handling the bellows if the machine is equipped.
- Remove clamps (1) , (3) , and (4) . Remove elbow (2) .

- Disconnect hose assembly (5) .

- Disconnect tube assembly (6) .

- Remove bolts (7) . Reposition tube assembly (8) .

- Disconnect tube assemblies (9) and reposition out of the way.

- Remove clamps (10) and (11) . Discard clamp (11) .

- Remove nuts (12) .

- Use a suitable lifting device in order to remove turbocharger (13) . The weight of turbocharger (13) is approximately 36 kg (80 lb).
Installation Procedure
- Ensure the flange connection for the turbocharger to air filter intake is clean and free of debris. Proper alignment and use of a new clamp is necessary to ensure a leak free joint".
- Install turbocharger (13) in reverse order of the removal.
Note: Check all of the O-ring seals, the gaskets, and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.
