Some of the above machines do not have a 258-4524 Sleeve on the turbocharger. If your machine does not have a 258-4524 Sleeve on the turbocharger, then inspect the hose on the wastegate for heat related issues.

Symptoms of heat related issues include the following:

  • Cracks on the outside cover of the hose

  • A place on the hose that looks burned.

  • A hole in the hose

The symptoms will be isolated to one section of the hose.

If the hose on the wastegate has any heat related issues, then replace the hose on the wastegate and install a 258-4524 Sleeve on the turbocharger. If the hose on the wastegate shows no symptoms of being exposed to excessive heat, then no further action is required.
