Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the grapple. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

2. Remove bolts (2) and cover (3) .

3. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) .

4. Support boom cylinders (5) with wood blocks, as shown.

5. Fasten a suitable lifting device to boom (1) .

6. Remove bolts (7) and pins (6) from boom cylinders (5) .

7. Remove bolts (8), pins (9) and the shims. Remove boom (1). The weight of the boom is approximately 413 kg (910 lb).

Installation Procedure

1. Fasten a suitable lifting device to boom (1). Install boom (1). The weight of the boom is approximately 413 kg (910 lb).

2. Install the shims, pins (9) and bolts (8) .
