Start By:

  1. Remove the grapple. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.

  1. Use Tooling (A) to support boom (1), as shown.

  1. Remove bolts (2) and cover (3) .

  1. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) .

  1. Support boom cylinders (5) with wood blocks, as shown.

  1. Fasten a suitable lifting device to boom (1) .

  1. Remove bolts (7) and pins (6) from boom cylinders (5) .

  1. Remove bolts (8), pins (9) and the shims. Remove boom (1). The weight of the boom is approximately 413 kg (910 lb).

  1. Fasten a suitable lifting device to boom (1). Install boom (1). The weight of the boom is approximately 413 kg (910 lb).

  1. Install the shims, pins (9) and bolts (8) .

  1. To secure boom cylinders (5) to boom (1), install pins (6) and bolts (7) .

  1. Connect hose assemblies (4) .

  1. Install cover (3) and bolts (2) .

End By: Install the grapple. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Grapple - Remove and Install" for the machine that is being serviced.
