Oil from the oil pump (27) is used for lubrication of the power train system. Oil from the pump leaves filter (9) and flows through line (5) to torque converter (24) . Hose (15) connects the torque converter to transmission hydraulic control valve (10) which contains torque converter inlet relief valve (12) . Hose (14) supplies lubrication oil to input transfer gear (18) .

If the inlet pressure for the torque converter increases to approximately 930 kPa (135 psi), the oil in line (15) will flow through transmission hydraulic controls (10) and inlet ratio valve (12) for the torque converter to the drain.

Oil flows through the torque converter and flows through outlet relief valve (21) and a bypass passage to hose (31) . Oil then flows to oil coolers (32) .

The oil coolers (32) are connected in parallel. Oil flows through hose (6) to rear pump drive (11) . In the other direction, oil flows through line (34) to the case for the transmission.

In the transmission case, the oil flows in two directions. Part of the oil flows to the rear of the transmission. This oil is used for lubrication of the planetary gears. The other part of the oil flows forward to the output transfer gearbox for lubrication of the bearings. Hose (3) provides lubrication oil for the gears of the output transfer gearbox.
