Gear Pump (Power Train)

The pump is a two-section gear type pump.
Rotation is counterclockwise when the pump is viewed from the drive end. Use SAE 10W at a temperature of 50°C (122°F) in order to bench test the pump.
Rotate the pump by hand. The pump must rotate freely.
(1) Torque for locknut on pump drive gear ... 110 ± 13 N·m (80 ± 10 lb ft)

Test at full speed:
- Output ... 105 L/min (28 US gpm)
- Pressure ... 2760 kPa (400 psi)
- Pump rpm ... 1800 rpm
- Engine rpm ... 1370 rpm
- Pressure ... 2760 kPa (400 psi)
Test at half speed:
- Output ... 51 L/min (13 US gpm)
- Pressure ... 2760 kPa (400 psi)
- Pump rpm ... 900 rpm
- Engine rpm ... 685 rpm
- Pressure ... 2760 kPa (400 psi)

Test at full speed:
- Output ... 238 L/min (63 US gpm)
- Pressure ... 900 kPa (130 psi)
- Pump rpm ... 1800 rpm
- Engine rpm ... 1370 rpm
- Pressure ... 900 kPa (130 psi)
Test at half speed:
- Output ... 119 L/min (31 US gpm)
- Pressure ... 900 kPa (130 psi)
