931 TRACK-TYPE LOADER POWER TRAIN Caterpillar

NOTE: The adjustments to left steering clutch are the same as the adjustments to right steering clutch.

1. Release the brake pedals.

2. Make sure there are no bent linkages.

3. Loosen nut (5).

4. Move piston (6) out to dimension (A).

5. Make adjustment to rod (3) by turning nut (2) so it is against yoke (1).

6. Tighten nut (5).

7. Loosen nut (8) and turn bolt (7) to dimension (B) between steering clutch housing (4) and bolt (7). Tighten nut (8).

(A) Dimension end of piston is to be from end of cylinder ... 1.0 in.(25.4 mm)

(B) Dimension between steering clutch housing and bolt ... .39 in.(10.0 mm)
