(1) Tighten the bolts of the holder for the main bearing to the following torque.

C0.5, C0.7, C1.1/3011C and C1.6 ... 23 N·m (16.9 lb ft)

C1.5/3013C, C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT ... 52 N·m (38.3 lb ft)

(2) Thrust washers

C0.5 and C0.7

Standard thickness ... 21.85 to 21.95 mm (0.8602 to 0.8642 inch)

Service limit ... 21.60 mm (0.8504 inch)

C1.1/3011C and C1.6

Standard thickness ... 21.85 to 21.95 mm (0.8602 to 0.8642 inch)

Service limit ... 21.60 mm (0.8504 inch)

C1.5/3013C

Standard thickness ... 2.95 to 3.00 mm (0.1161 to 0.1181 inch)

C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT

Standard thickness ... 2.95 to 3.00 mm (0.1161 to 0.1181 inch)

Service limit ... 2.80 mm (0.1102 inch)

Note: The thrust washer for the C0.5, C0.7, C1.1/3011C and C1.6 engines is machined into the holder for the main bearing.

(3) Top thrust washer

Note: The top thrust washer (3) is used only on the C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT engine.

Ensure that the oil grooves of all of the thrust washers are toward the crankshaft.

(4) Tighten the retaining bolts for the crankshaft to the following torque.

C0.5, C0.7, C1.1/3011C and C1.6 ... 27 N·m (19.9 lb ft)

C1.5/3013C, C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT ... 52 N·m (38.3 lb ft)

(5) Tighten the allen head screws to the following torque. ... 27 N·m (19.9 lb ft)

Crankshaft end play

C0.5, C0.7, C1.1/3011C and C1.6 ... 0.10 to 0.30 mm (0.0040 to 0.0118 inch)

C1.5/3013C, C2.2/3024C and C2.2/3024CT ... 0.10 to 0.40 mm (0.0040 to 0.0160 inch)

Service limit (All models) ... 0.50 mm (0.0197 inch)

Note: If the crankshaft end play exceeds the service limit, check the thrust washers for wear.

Note: Measure the run out of the crankshaft from the center journal.

The run out of the crankshaft journal ... 0.03 mm (0.0012 inch)

Service limit (All models) ... 0.06 mm (0.0024 inch)
