Travel Motor (1) Connector (2) Drain hose |
To check the travel motor performance, use the following procedure to measure the amount of case drain oil.
- Disconnect case drain hose (2) from connector (1). Install a plug 13/16 - UN in the open end of case drain hose (2) .
- Connect one end of remote drain hose to connector (1). Place the other end of remote drain hose into the container for measuring case drain oil.
- Block the track in order to prevent forward travel.
- Move the travel control lever forward fully for one minute.
- Measure the amount of case drain oil.
- Remove the track block. Move the machine forward in order to place the travel motor in a different position.
- Repeat Steps 1 through 5.
The following values specify the maximum acceptable flow of case drain oil when the main relief valve pressure is set at 34300 ± 490 kPa (5000 ± 72 psi).
- New travel motor ... 15 L/min (4 US gpm)
- Rebuilt travel motor ... 18 L/min (4.8 US gpm)
