NOTE: Cut gaskets even with the bottom of front housing and front plate after the housing is installed on the engine.

(1) Tighten two studs to a torque of ... 55 ± 5 N·m (40 ± 4 lb ft)

(2) Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the studs. Two studs must be installed to extend above the housing surface to a dimension of ... 28.5 ± 1.5 mm (1.12 ± .06 in)

(3) Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the threads of the stud. The stud must be installed to extend above the housing surface to a dimension of ... 37.0 ± 1.5 mm (1.46 ± .06 in)

(4) Five studs marked "X" must be installed to extend above the housing surface to a dimension of ... 28.5 ± 1.5 mm (1.12 ± .06 in)

Tighten studs to a torque of ... 35 ± 5 N·m (26 ± 4 lb ft)

NOTE: Put 9S3263 Thread Lock on the stud serrations and each side of the gasket prior to assembly.

NOTE: Heads of studs must not be more than 4.5 mm (.18 in) above the surface of the timing gear plate after installation.
