Governor Linkage - Mechanical Adjustment For Naturally Aspirated Engines

Use the following procedure in order to adjust the carburetor linkage:
Note: Position (A) is the full load position. Position (B) is the shutoff position.
- Clamp carburetor lever (1) on the throttle shaft of the carburetor at the indicated angle when the throttle plate is closed.
- Drill a hole with a diameter of 3.18 mm (0.125 inch) through the shaft and lever. Install pin (2) in the shaft.
- Adjust the length of linkage rod (4) so the angles at carburetor lever (1) and governor lever (3) are maintained.
Note: The governor lever is in the shutoff position and the throttle plate is closed.
