(1) Torque for two stoppers ... 140 ± 14 N·m (105 ± 10 lb ft)

Before assembly, apply a small amount of hydraulic oil on the sliding surfaces of the following parts:

• piston (2)

• guide (3)

• barrel (4)

• piston assembly (8)

(5) Torque for 10 bolts ... 175 ± 18 N·m (130 ± 13 lb ft)

Thickness of one shim ... 0.8 mm (0.03 inch)

107-6980 Shim

Thickness of one shim ... 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)

107-6976 Shim

Thickness of one shim ... 1.2 mm (0.050 inch)

107-6977 Shim

Thickness of one shim ... 1.4 mm (0.055 inch)

107-6978 Shim

To ensure that the following conditions are fulfilled, install shims (6) :

• When parking brake release port (12) is vented to the air, the motor output shaft does not rotate with a torque of 780 kPa (115 psi) or less.

• When pressure at parking brake release port (12) is 780 kPa (115 psi), the motor output shaft rotates with a torque of 29 N·m (21 lb ft) or less. Both the inlet port and the outlet port must be open to the hydraulic tank.

(7) Apply 5P-3413 Sealant to the seal.
