(5) Lubricate the lips of the seals with a small amount of the oil that is being sealed.

Boom Cylinder Drift
Start with the stick and boom cylinders at full extension. The allowable drift with the oil temperature at 38°C (100°F) is 50 mm (1.97 inch) in 5 minutes.
Note: The minimum allowable time for the cylinder drift at other oil temperatures is specified in illustration 2.
