3176C and 3196 Industrial Engines Caterpillar

The part number for the oil filter base is located under the oil filter. The filter needs to be removed in order to view the part number. The 122-0725 Oil Filter Base has been cancelled and replaced by 166-1329 Oil Filter Base. The serviceable parts of 122-0725 Oil Filter Base are still available. Table 1 will help you determine your engine oil filter base. The part number of the oil filter base needs to be verified before you proceed.
