Note: Accurate information was not available at the time of this publication. The following information is preliminary information. For the most up-to-date information, refer to SIS Web.

Note: Your machine may not be equipped with all the controls that are described in this topic.

Monitors

The monitors are installed in the cab on an adjustable pedestal mount that allows sideways and tilt adjustment. The screen displays the information relevant to the function being used.

Hole Depth Target - Displays how deep the hole target is

Number of Pipes - Displays the number of pipes the machine says is equipped to the drill bit

The number of pipes the machine says are equipped can be changed using the "+" and "-" buttons.

Note: When changing the number of pipes, a warning will appear saying that doing so could mislead the pipe-in-hole logic. The operator will be asked whether to process or cancel.

Interlock Status & Leveling (20)

Interlocks prevent certain actions from being taken to protect the machine and the operator. There are interlocks for many functions, including the hydraulically operated breakout (HOBO) wrench, the hydraulically operated bit basket (HOBB), and so on.

An interlock is active when the icon displays red and is inactive when displays green. Some functions will require multiple interlocks to be inactive before being operational.

Each interlock icon also serves as a button for an override feature. Once the button is pressed, the override will either become active or a message stating the override is not possible will show. Any function locked by an interlock can be unlocked by overriding the interlock. Anytime a system is overridden, the event is recorded in the event screen data log.

Note: Anytime an operator attempts to override an interlock, a warning window will appear advising the operator to proceed only if necessary. Overriding any system could potentially damage the machine or a component and create operator hazards.

Pipe Safety Bar Closed (43) - The safety bar is not in Open position. Pulldown and rotation will be allowed.

Carousel not Parked (44) - The carousel is between proximity switches, no pulldown, or rotation will be allowed.

HOBO Engaged (45) - The HOBO is not in PARKED position. No pulldown or hoist functions are allowable.

Deck Wrench Engaged (46) - The deck wrench is not in PARKED position.

Deck Wrench Position (47) - Additional Information was not available at time of publication.

Pipe Positioner Engaged (48) - The pipe positioner is engaged, locking pulldown functions when the rotary head is about to collide with the positioner.

49 - Additional Information was not available at time of publication.

Pipe in Hole (50) - This interlock displays red if the drill is still in the hole. The machine will not be able to travel until the drill is fully raised.

Ladder Down (51) - This interlock displays red when the powered stairway is down. The powered stairway must be up before the machine can travel.

Note: An attempt to raise the ladder must be made before you can override this interlock.

Dust Curtain Lowered (52) - This interlock displays red with the dust curtain is lowered. The dust curtain has to be fully raised before the machine is allowed to move.

Mast (53) - The mast is not angled above 58 degrees and locked. This interlock prevents all drill functions from occurring.

Machine Outside Stability Limits (54) - The machine is outside the stability parameters, no traveling or jacking functions are allowed.

Pipe Safety Bar Position (55) - Additional Information was not available at time of publication.

Winch Up (56) - The winch has reached the maximum allowable height and will not be able to raise higher. Only the winch down function is allowable.

Mast - Drill (57) - The mast is not properly set up for any drilling functions. No pulldown, hoist, or rotation will be allowed.

Pipe Unscrewed (58) - The drill pipe is detached from the rotary head. No drill function is allowed, but hoist and pulldown are functional at a reduced rate.

Hammer Oil Level (59) - This interlock displays yellow when the hammer oil level is low and displays red when the hammer oil level is empty.

60 - Additional Information was not available at time of publication.

Jack not Fully Up (61) - Each jack interlock corresponds to a jack on the machine. The corresponding jack is not fully up. No travel function is allowed.

Head Clear (62) - The rotary head is below the carousel, preventing the carousel from moving out of PARKED position.

Interlock Override

Illustration 14g06252227

When an Interlock is active (red icon), press it to show an override pop-up window. Once override button is pressed, the override will be active (yellow icon) or a messages stating the override is not possible will show if status does not change after a few seconds.
