Problem
Assigned view may not get deleted with ownership change in Cat® Product Link (PL) web. When dealer creates an assigned view and then changes the ownership in Equipment Data, the assigned view is not being removed on the asset.
Solution
Caterpillar is aware of this problem, but a permanent repair has not been identified. As an interim action, dealers should remove all view assignments prior to making ownership changes.
If the change of ownership has already been made, have the dealership create a System Technology Service Request (SR) and reference this publication in the description field. Also mention the steps taken until now along with serial number, product ID, and screenshots if any prior submitting to Caterpillar.
