Description Of Change: An improved worm drive gear is now available for certain 16H, 16M, 16M3, 18M3, 24H, and 24M Motor Graders. The new worm drive gear is more durable and will increase the service life of the machine.
Adaptable To: The following changes are adaptable to the products within the listed serial numbers, and are effective with all products after the listed serial numbers.

523-9068 Worm Gear (Steel) replaces 450-6181 Worm Gear (Steel).
If 450-6182 Worm Gear (Brass) is found worn at low hours, change both gears.
Replace 450-6182 Worm Gear (Brass) with same part number and 450-6181 Worm Gear (Steel) with 523-9068 Worm Gear (Steel).
Flushing housing to remove all wear material and use the proper oil. Refer to the correct procedure for installing the drive gear and specifications for slip clutch settings.
