Ejector manifold (1) controls the operation of the ejector cylinder and tailgate cylinders. The ejector manifold allows the ejector cylinder and tailgate cylinders to be extended and retracted by oil from the ejector control valve.
In the HOLD position, oil flow to ports "E1" and "R1" is trapped at the ejector control valve. Needle control valve (4) is normally kept closed. Because there is no pressure to open load control valve (5), there is no oil flow through the ejector manifold.
Note: Needle control valve (4) can be opened to open the tailgate manually.
During the eject cycle, pressurized oil from the ejector control valve is supplied to the "E1" port of the ejector manifold. Oil flows through the ejector manifold to the head end of the ejector cylinder from port "P2" and through port "TGR" to the rod end of the tailgate cylinders. Oil also flows from port "E1" to open load control valve (5). Return oil from the rod end of the ejector cylinder returns to the ejector manifold through port "R2". Return oil from the head end of the tailgate cylinders returns to the ejector manifold through port "TGH". The return oil from port "R2" flows through check valve (3) and the orifice to combine with the return oil from port "TGH". The combined oil flows through the load control valve (3) to tank port "T". Oil exits the ejector manifold through tank port "T" returning to the tank through the main control valve. Sequence valve (2) maintains back pressure to ensure that the ejector cylinder is extended in the proper sequence. When return oil from the rod end of the ejector cylinder exceeds the pressure setting of sequence valve (2), oil will pass through the sequence valve to port "R1". Oil from port "R1" returns to the tank through the ejector control valve.
During the retract cycle, pressurized oil from the ejector control valve is supplied to the "R1" port of the ejector manifold. Oil flows through the check valve in sequence valve (2) to the rod end of the ejector cylinder through port "R2". Oil also flows through check valve (3) to the head end of the tailgate cylinders through port "TGH". Oil returns from the head end of the ejector cylinder through port "P2" of the ejector manifold. Oil also returns from the rod end of the tailgate cylinders through port "TGR" to combine with the oil from port "P2". The combined oil exits the ejector manifold at port "E1" and returns to the tank through the ejector control valve.
