New 2016A or later Cat® Product Link software is now available for certain EMCP 2+ (Electronic Modular Control Panel) equipped Generator Sets. New software is updated to prevent congestion on the Cat Data Link (CDL) to report data accurately.
The new software is available in the form of a flash file through the Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS) or through Over the Air flashing. Refer to SIS web to make sure that the new flash file part number is still the latest part number. A newer part number may be available. SIS web only displays the latest available flash file.
Note: Update PL firmware for PL631 and PLE631 equipped machines as Over the Air flashing is unavailable for this system.
