The adapter boards for mining bit system and grader bit system have been changed from castings to machined components. The 1219 mm (4 ft) moldboard section has been replaced with 610 mm (2 ft) section. The adapter boards using 5/8-11 inch threads have been discontinued and changed to boards using 3/4-10 inch thread bolts.

New 452-8225 Bolt (1) is now available for the new adapter boards. The new bolt (1) with square shoulder in the head area will fit the adapter board sized for 3/4 inch plow bolts.

Table 1 shows the former adapters and the respective replaceable new adapters for moldboards in the grader bit system.

The Illustration 2 shows the moldboard installed with 610 mm (2 ft) adapters and the location for bolts used to mount the adapter to the moldboard.

Use the following Table 3 to determine the normal quantities of bolts required for installing the new moldboard adapters.

Note: The quantities of the bolts vary depend upon the adapter widths selected.
