Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the belly guards.

At operating temperature, the engine coolant is hot and under pressure. Steam can cause personal injury. Check the coolant level only after the engine has been stopped and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand. Remove the fill cap slowly to relieve pressure. Cooling system conditioner contains alkali. Avoid contact with the skin and eyes to prevent personal injury.

1. Drain the coolant into a suitable container for storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Cooling System Coolant (ELC) - Change".

2. Disconnect hose (1), hose assembly (2), hose assembly (3), and hose assembly (4).

3. Disconnect hose (5), and hose assembly (6).

4. Remove clamps (7) and (8). Remove tube assembly (9).

   Note: Mark clamp locations on oil cooler for installation purposes.

5. Position Tooling (A) and suitable cribbing under brake/hoist oil cooler (11).Remove clamps (10). Lower brake/hoist oil cooler (11). The weight of brake/hoist oil cooler (11) is approximately 64 kg (140 lb.).

Installation Procedure

1. Install oil cooler (10) in the reverse order.
