EID 1346 Other Equipment Position within Proximity Undetermined
Event EID 1346 Other Equipment Position within Proximity Undetermined occurs when an AMT detects a vehicle in the area and then loses position updates from that vehicle. Depending on the vehicle and the situation, the AMT will either reduce speed, or come to a complete stop.
Test Step 1. INVESTIGATE AND TROUBLESHOOT ON THE VEHICLE WHICH LOST COMMUNICATIONS.
This event will have to be investigated from the command center with a Cat MineStar System client session. All troubleshooting will be done on the vehicle that went out of communications and not on the AMT.
Reference the "Command Office Troubleshooting Guide" found on the Command for Hauling Publications Box site.
Expected Result:
Vehicle found and communications corrected.
Results:
- Vehicle found and communications corrected. - STOP
Test Step 2. CONFIRM THAT EITHER "ENABLE UNICAST DELIVERY" OR "ENABLE MULTICAST DELIVERY" IS CHECKED, BUT NOT BOTH.
- Open "MineStar Supervisor"
- Select "Contents".
- Select "Setup".
- Select "System Options".
Note: The "System Options" tab opens.
- Select "Machine Broadcast" from the left pane.

Expected Result:
Either "Enable Unicast Delivery" or "Enable Multicast Delivery" is checked.
Note: The truck software is not designed to handle the same AMP messages from two different communication streams.
Results:
- OK - Either "Enable Unicast Delivery" or "Enable Multicast Delivery" is checked.
STOP
- NOT OK - Both "Enable Unicast Delivery" and "Enable Multicast Delivery" are checked.
Repair: Uncheck "Enable Multicast Delivery".
