Conditions Which Generate This Code:

EID 1330 High Autonomous Cabinet Temperature

Follow this procedure if an event EID 1330 High Autonomous Cabinet Temperature occurs. When this event code is activated, the autonomous mining truck (AMT) will come to a complete controlled stop. This event code is caused by a higher than expect temperature in the autonomy cabinet. This increase in temperature could be caused by numerous internal and external factors, from hot external environmental temperatures to the fan not functioning properly.

Prior to beginning this procedure:

  • Check and clear all diagnostic codes (CIDs), especially the codes related to the cabinet fan.

Test Step 1. RUN A CAT ET SERVICE TEST ON THE FAN.

  1. Select the "Diagnostic" menu.

  2. Select the "Diagnostic Tests" menu option.

  3. Select "Machine Control".

  6. Click Yes.

  7. Find "Autonomous Cabinet Cooling Fan Speed/Direction Override".

  8. Set to 3000 rpm.

  9. Click Yes.

  10. Visually verify that the fan in the cabinet is running.

Expected Result:

Fan is functioning as expected.

Results:

  • Fan is functioning as expected. -

Repair: Set the "Autonomous Cabinet Cooling Fan Override" to "OFF".

    Proceed to Test Step 2

  • Fan fails to function as expected. Proceed to Troubleshooting for Event EID 1483 - "Low Autonomous Cabinet Fan Speed". - STOP

Test Step 2. INSPECT/ REPLACE AUTONOMY CABINET FILTER.

  1. Autonomy cabinet filter is located on the outside of the right-hand end of the autonomy cabinet.

  2. To remove:

    2. Fold out filter compartment (2)

    3. Replace filter (3).

    4. Allow for system to cool thoroughly.

Expected Result:

Filter shows signs of blockage or reduced air flow.

Results:

  • Filter shows signs of blockage or reduced air flow and is replaced. - Proceed to Test Step 5

  • Filter is clean and clear. - Proceed to Test Step 3

Test Step 3. COLLECT ACTUAL INTERNAL CABINET TEMPERATURE.

  1. Use a temperature gun or other method of temperature measure.

  2. Compare actual temperature with the temperature reported by the sensor.

Expected Result:

Actual temperature matches the reported temperature and is above normal range.

Results:

  • Actual temperature matches the reported temperature and is above normal range. Determine which components are overly hot. Allow cabinet and components to cool. - Proceed to Test Step 5

  • Actual temperature is higher than the reported temperature. - Proceed to Test Step 4

  • Actual temperature is lower than the reported temperature. - Proceed to Test Step 4

Test Step 4. REPLACE AUTONOMY CABINET TEMPERATURE SENSOR.

  1. Order and replace autonomy cabinet temperature sensor.

Expected Result:

Autonomy cabinet temperature sensor is replaced.

Results:

  • Autonomy cabinet temperature sensor is replaced. - Proceed to Test Step 5

Test Step 5. RESTART SYSTEM.

  1. Key cycle the AMT and verify status of event code.

Expected Result:

EID 1330 cleared and did not reappear.

Results:

  • EID 1330 cleared and did not reappear. - STOP
