Start By:

  1. Remove the auxiliary control valve.

Note: The auxiliary valve in this procedure only has a third function valve section. However the auxiliary control valve may also contain a fourth function valve section. In this case repeat Steps 14 through 64 in order to disassemble the fourth function valve section.

  1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to auxiliary control valve (1). The weight of auxiliary control valve (1) is approximately 57 kg (125 lb). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to position auxiliary control valve (1) onto Tooling (B).

  2. Disconnect harness assemblies (2). Remove bolt (3).

  4. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to auxiliary control valve (1). Use Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device in order to separate auxiliary control valve (1) from mounting plate (5).

  8. Remove O-ring seals (9) from main relief plug (8).

  9. Remove shuttle valve (10).

  10. Remove backup ring (15) and O-ring seal (14) from shuttle valve (10). Remove O-ring seal (17) and backup ring (16). Remove backup ring (13) and O-ring seal (12). Remove O-ring seal (11).

    Note: Mark the orientation of fitting (18) for assembly purposes.

  11. Remove fitting (18) and the O-ring seal.

  12. Remove orifice (19).

  13. Remove fittings (20) and (21) and the O-ring seals from valve block (7). Remove plug (22) and O-ring seal.

  21. Remove fitting (34) and the O-ring seal from housing assembly (27).

  22. Remove retainer (38), spring (37), retainer (36), and spool (35) from valve body (26).

  23. Remove relief and check valve assembly (39).

  24. Measure Dimension (X). Record Dimension (X) for assembly purposes.

  25. Remove nut (40) from relief and check valve assembly (39).

  26. Remove retainer assembly (41).

  27. Remove O-ring seal (42) from retainer assembly (41). Remove spring (43) and valve (44).

  28. Remove valve (45) and spring (46). Remove O-ring seal (47), backup ring (48), and O-ring seal (49) from body assembly (50).

  29. Remove stem (51) and retaining ring (52) from valve (45). Remove plug (53) and the O-ring seal.

  30. Use Tooling (C) and a suitable press in order to remove bearing (54) and seat (55) from body assembly (50).
