Description of Change: A new screw that has Loctite already applied is used in order to secure the number two clutch seal housing.

Replace the current 9X-2045 Screw and Loctite 242 with 270-9442 Screw (1) in order to secure the 349-9156 Seal Housing .
The new screw is effective with the following transmissions:

Rework Procedure
For the following rework procedure steps, refer to Disassembly and Assembly, UENR0125.
Start by:
- Remove the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Torque Converter and Transmission) - Remove"
- Remove the torque converter housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Housing - Remove".
- Disassemble the planetary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Planetary - Disassemble".
- Perform Step 12 - Step 21.
- Clean and inspect all parts. Replace the additional parts that are listed in Table 1 if a transmission failure occurred as a result of the loose screw.
- Remove 263-2847 Manifold (Step 27) and clean threaded holes thoroughly prior to installing new screws.
Reassembly:
- Reassemble the planetary. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Planetary - Assemble".
- Reinstall 263-2847 Manifold (Step 44).
- Step 50 - Insure holes are aligned. Install 270-9442 Screws and tighten uniformly around or in a star pattern, turning each screw no more than one complete turn at one time. Torque 270-9442 Screws to 12 ± 3 N·m (106 ± 27 lb in).
- Continue with Step 51 - Step 59.
- Reassemble the torque converter housing. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Torque Converter Housing - Install".
Note: May be necessary to rotate the converter during assembly to ensure that all splines for clutch #1 and clutch #2 are aligned.
- Reinstall the gear pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Gear Pump (Torque Converter and Transmission) - Install"
