Steering Control Valve - Disassemble

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Remove steering control valve.

  1. Remove valve (1).

  2. Remove nut (2), coil assembly (3). Remove O-ring seals (4) and the backup rings.

  3. Remove housing (5) and the O-ring seals.

  4. Remove housing (6) and the O-ring seal.

    Spring force will be released when covers are removed.

    Be prepared to hold spring loaded covers as the bolts are loosened.


  5. Remove sleeve (7) and the O-ring seal. Remove washers (8), spring (9), valve (10), valve (11), and spring (12).

  6. Remove plug (13) and the O-ring seals.

  7. Remove housing (14) and the O-ring seals.

  8. Remove retainer (16) and spring (15).

  10. Remove nut (18), retainer assembly (19), O-ring seal (20), washers (21), spring (22), valve (23) from body (24). Remove O-ring seals (25) and the backup rings, O-ring seal (26), spring (27), bushing (28), bushing (29), and plug assembly (30).

  11. Remove housing (31) and the ring seals. Repeat for opposite side.

  12. Remove screen (32), plug (33), and plug (34). Repeat for opposite side.

  13. Remove screw (40), retainer (39), shims (38), thick shims (37), spring (36), retainer (35), and block (34) and the O-ring seals.

  14. Remove valve (41).

  15. Remove nut (42), washer (43), retainer (44), washers (45), spring (46), valve (47), seat (48) and the O-ring seal. Remove block (49) and the O-ring seals and the backup rings.

  16. Remove washers (50), spring (51), plug (52) and the O-ring seals. Remove bolt (53), valve (54), valve (55), and spring (56).

  18. Remove nut (58), washer (59), retainer (60), O-ring (61), plate (62), spring (63), washer (64), valve (65), and O-ring seals (66).

  19. Remove plug assemblies (68) and plugs (67).

  20. Remove bolts (70), cover (71), body (72), body (73), and all O-ring seals.
