(1) ( 2) The mounting surfaces are to be free of oil and grease prior to assembly.

(3) Torque for 40 nuts ... 1700 ± 200 N·m (1250 ± 150 lb ft)

Note: Use 4C-5592 Anti-Seize Compound on the faces of 40 washers (4) and 40 bolts (5).

(6) Lubricate the shaft lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

(7) Lubricate the shaft lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Note: Apply Loctite 242^TM to the threads of 12 bolts (8) after bearing adjustments. Tighten 12 bolts (8) to a torque of 22 ± 6 N·m (195 ± 50 lb in). If bolts (8) do not tighten flush to mounting surface, discard bolts. Tighten bolts (8) to 125 ± 20 N·m (92 ± 15 lb ft). Then, tighten bolts (8) to a torque of 270 ± 40 N·m (200 ± 30 lb ft).
