Installation Procedure

Note: The assembled couplers and the vibratory shaft assembly shall have no greater 0.5 degrees of angular misalignment and 0.38 mm (0.015 inch) of parallel misalignment.

Note: Install the vibratory weights in the same orientation.

1. Install vibratory shaft assembly (3). Verify that the bearing grease fitting is pointed in the correct position.

2. Install bolts (4) and (1) .

3. Slide the couplers in to position. Tighten set screws (6) and (5) .

4. Connect tube assemblies (2) to the bearing housings.

5. Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 on the other extender.

1. Install vibratory shaft assembly (7). Verify that the bearing grease fitting is pointed in the correct position.

2. Install bolts (9) and (6) .

3. Slide vibratory shaft (7) toward vibratory motor (11). Place the couplers into position. Tighten set screw (10) between vibratory motor (11) and vibratory shaft (7) .

4. Connect hose assemblies (3) and (8) .

5. Install drive shaft (4) and tighten set screws (5) at vibratory shaft (7) and drive shaft (4) .

6. Install cover (1) and bolts (2) .

7. Repeat Step 1 through Step 6 on the other half of the main screed.

End By: Install the extender deflector plates. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflector Plates (Strike-off) - Remove".
