Removal Procedure

Start By:

1. Remove the extender deflector plates. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Deflector Plates (Strike-off) - Remove".

Main

1. Raise the screed and engage the travel locks. Lower the tow arms onto the travel locks.

2. Extend the extenders. Shut off the machine.

3. Remove bolts (2) and cover (1) .

4. Disconnect hose assemblies (3) and (8) .

5. Loosen set screws (5) at vibratory shaft (7) and drive shaft (4) .

6. Loosen set screw (10) between vibratory motor (11) and vibratory shaft (7) .

7. Remove bolts (6) and (9) .

8. Slide vibratory shaft (7) toward vibratory motor (11) for clearance.

9. Repeat Step 1 through Step 8 on the half of the screed.

10. Remove vibratory shaft assembly (7) .

11. Remove drive shaft (4) .

1. Disconnect tube assemblies (2) from the bearing housings.

2. Loosen set screws (5) and (6) .

3. Remove bolts (1) and (4) .

4. Remove vibratory shaft assembly (3) .

5. Repeat Step 1 through Step 4 on the other extender.
