底盘电子控制模块（ECM）位于驾驶室的前舱室内。 检修门位于驾驶外部前下方。 底盘 ECM 可以转换变速箱的档位。 操作员输入指示变速箱的所需速度和方向。 底盘 ECM 作出基于输入信息和存储信息的决策。 底盘 ECM 接收输入信息和储存信息后，通过输出装置发出相应响应。 底盘 ECM 的输入和输出与机器线束相连。 使用触点接头 J1 和 J2。
输入
机器有几个输入设备。 输入设备通知底盘 ECM 机器的操作条件。 机器的输入来自开关和传感器。 各开关可向机具 ECM 输入提供开路、接地或蓄电池正极信号。 传感器不断向底盘 ECM 提供变化信号。 机具 ECM 的输入列于下表。
输出
底盘 ECM 通过输出发出电信号，对决策做出响应。 输出可以产生一个操作，或者向底盘 ECM 提供信息。 机具 ECM 的输出列于下表。
输入/输出
CAT 数据链路 用于与机器上的其它电子控制模块进行通信。 CAT 数据链路具有双向通信能力。 这允许底盘 ECM 接收和发送信息。 CAT 数据链路 可实现与其它电子控制装置共享信息。
利用 CAT 数据链路将模块标识符（MID）分配制所有电子控制装置。 底盘 ECM 的 MID 为 081。
