The problem that is identified below does not have a known permanent solution. Until a permanent solution is known, use the solution that is identified below.
Problem
The performance of the air conditioner in some of the listed C series machines may be inadequate. The air conditioner may not provide adequate cooling when the unit is operating fully.
Solution
Troubleshoot the air conditioner system by performing the following:
- Ensure that the 239-9368 Resistor for the air conditioner system is fully installed in the 266-2430 Air and Temperature Control and Wiring Gp .
- Check the pressure in the air conditioner system and compare the pressure against the information that is provided in Service Manual, SENR5664.
- Ensure that the air conditioner system contains the correct amount of refrigerant. The correct amount of refrigerant is 0.6 kg (1.3 lb).
Note: The air conditioner instruction plate that is installed on your machine may specify the amount of refrigerant as 0.68 kg (1.4991 lb). This is incorrect. Check in order to ensure that the air conditioner system contains 0.60 kg (1.3 lb) of refrigerant.
