Solenoid Valve and Manifold (Steering Disable) - Remove

Usage:

777F JRP

Removal Procedure

Start By:

  1. Release the system hydraulic pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , "System Hydraulic Pressure - Release".


NOTICE

Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.

Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.


  1. Drain the hydraulic tank (steering) into a suitable container for proper storage or disposal. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Hydraulic Tank (Steering) - Drain".

  2. Disconnect hose assembly (1). Disconnect fitting (2).

  3. Disconnect hose assemblies (4) and (5). Disconnect harness assembly (7). Disconnect tube assembly (8). Remove bolts (9). Remove the solenoid valve and manifold (6).
