- Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position.

- Remove bolts (3). Remove guard (4).

Illustration 4 g01299815 - Position cover (8) out of the way. Remove nut (7). Position cable (9) out of the way. Disconnect harness assembly (10). Remove bolt (12).
- Position cable assembly (11) out of the way.

- Position alternator (14) on the machine, as shown. Install bolts (13).

4 ± 1 N·m (39 ± 9 lb in) . - Position cable assembly (9) and connect harness assembly (10). Install nut (7). Tighten nut (7) to a torque of
