(1) Autolube solenoid valve

Chassis ECM

The chassis ECM turns autolube solenoid valve (1) on 10 ± 2 minutes after the engine start switch is turned to the ON position. The chassis ECM keeps autolube solenoid valve (1) on until the autolube pressure sensor detects system pressure at 15850 kPa (2300 psi). Then, autolube solenoid valve (1) is turned off.

At every 60 ± 12 minute interval, the chassis ECM will turn on autolube solenoid valve (1) which will stay on until the autolube pressure sensor detects system pressure at 15850 kPa (2300 psi). Then, autolube solenoid valve (1) is turned off. This continues until the ignition keyswitch is turned to the OFF position.

Note: An alarm will sound, and autolube solenoid (1) will shut off if the autolube pressure sensor does not detect the correct pressure within two minutes.

As autolube solenoid valve (1) is turned on, the solenoid makes a “click”. This “click” can be heard or the “click” can be felt. If the solenoid “click” occurs at the time that is described above, the electrical system is operating properly.
