The electrical system for the automatic lubrication system consists of two major components. The two components are the chassis ECM and autolube solenoid valve (2). The chassis ECM energizes autolube solenoid valve (2) at specified time intervals. Ten minutes after the machine has started the chassis ECM will turn on autolube solenoid valve (2). At every 60 minute interval, the chassis ECM will turn on the solenoid which will stay on until the autolube pressure sensor detects system pressure at
The chassis ECM determines when a lube cycle begins. When the lube cycle begins, the chassis ECM energizes the autolube relay. Current is supplied to the autolube unit. Autolube solenoid valve (2) is energized. Electric vent valve (4) closes preventing lubricant from flowing back into lubricant reservoir (3). Autolube pump motor (1) is energized. The autolube pump begins dispensing lubricant through injectors to the bearings.
When all the bearings have received lubricant, the pressure in the system rises to

The electrical system for the automatic lubrication consists of two components. The two components are chassis ECM (J1) and electric solenoid air valve (4). The chassis ECM energizes the solenoid at specific time intervals. The solenoid controls the air line which operates lubrication pump (1).
Enable Auto Lube Only If Installed
The chassis ECM only enables the Auto Lube solenoid, diagnostics, events, and timers if the Auto Lube system is configured to be INSTALLED using ET chassis configuration screen.
Five minutes (300 sec) after the machine has started and moving the chassis ECM will turn on the solenoid. The chassis ECM keeps the solenoid on for 75 seconds. Then, the chassis ECM shut off solenoid. The system shall reset the delay if the engine stops running during the delay period
After initial lube, at every 60 minute (Fixed) interval the chassis ECM will turn "ON" the solenoid for the time duration set time by the user. The time duration can be set by user using advisor setting menu or ET chassis configuration screen.
The duration range is 120 to 1800 seconds.
Reset the interval timer after Lube
The ECM will reset the Auto Lube interval timer after the Auto Lube solenoid is de-energized.
Override with Service Tool (ET)
The ECM will turn the Autolube solenoid ON or OFF regardless of the current relay state. This requirement allows a service technician to troubleshoot the Autolube system. It allows a service technician to turn OFF the Auto Lube solenoid if an auto Lube cycle has already begun, and allows a service technician to turn ON the Auto Lube solenoid if an Auto Lube cycle is not in progress.
The ECM executes the number of lube cycles (one after another) that the user requests via the service tool. This requirement allows a service person to initiate several lube cycles in a row for troubleshooting purposes.
The ECM will limit the maximum lube cycles to 5. The system shall wait 1 minute before the first cycle.
The ECM will wait 2 minutes between cycles.
The ECM will allow manual lube cycles with or without the engine running.
NOTICE |
---|
Too many manual lube cycles will drain the battery if the engine is not running and there will be a low system voltage warning. It is left to the discretion of the service person to understand the potential for this problem. |
The manual lube shall work only with the machine stationary. When the machine starts to move, the manual lube mode is disarmed and the auto lube takes over. If the machine starts to move in the middle of a manual lube cycle, the machine shall complete the manual lube cycle and not execute anymore manual lube cycles. The auto lube functionality would continue.
