SUBJECT: 232-9737 Software Issues with MSS Standalone Time/Date Functions
PROBLEM:
The MSS software has two time/date related issues:
Issue 1. The software adjusts for leap year one year late.
Issue 2. The software corrupts the time zone offset when the total tattletale is incremented. The total tattletale is incremented after entering a valid factory password and/or downloading, replacing, or appending the key list on the ET Fleet/Key Configuration screen. The time used for the bypass schedule, key expiration, and the ET Security Management screen will be offset by different amounts based on the selected time zone.
SOLUTION:
These issues will be addressed in a future release of MSS software. The interim corrective actions for these issues are:
Issue 1. Reset the MSS internal clock with the correct date and time.
Issue 2. After entering a valid factory password and/or downloading, replacing, or appending the key list, reset the time using the ECM Date and Time Screen.
